Apart from the distinctive and precise design by Etsuko Furuya, the canvases from the Japanese brand Echino have another great feature. They are perfectly robust for various decorative and utility projects. Bags, pouches, and cases of all sizes. Pillows for the sofa or as a striking curtain.

The fabric is straightforward for sewing, and even beginners need not be afraid. On the contrary, sewing something basic from such a beautiful fabric might be the most encouraging reason to start sewing.

Exercise caution in clothing design. We've seen skirts, dresses, and coats made from Echino canvases, and they are truly beautiful pieces. However, this fabric can be slightly itchy when worn against bare skin for most people, so you might want a lining. 

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Before use, it's recommended to prewash or otherwise treat the fabric to allow for complete shrinkage. A steam iron for shrinkage also works. Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C, but preferably in cold water (colours will last longer). Do not use chlorine-based bleach and optical brighteners. Avoid using a dryer and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
