Our new course in English is perfect for beginners or those with little sewing machine experience who really want to dive into learning to sew.

We’ll start with the basics that every machine has, so you understand how they work. In the workshop, you'll try different machine models to learn their differences. By the end of this session, you’ll be able to use any sewing machine and handle common issues.

We’ll briefly cover fabrics, threads, presser feet, needles, and pins and you’ll practice on a test fabric.

Then we will be ready to move onto the first simple project (usually a small drawstring bag). You’ll apply what you’ve learned and see that sewing isn’t too hard, but it does take some effort!

We can then start the slightly more challenging projects, a tote bag finished with french seems (Oh là là, a very elegant skill to have) and the last session will be all about zippers. You will learn how to use a zipper foot and sew a cute zipper pouch, a boxy make up bag or a pillowcase.

This course should leave you confident to tackle any basic sewing project on your own and maybe even start working on your first me made garment.

FOR WHOM: The course is suitable for participants aged 15 and older. 

WHERE: We run our workshops at two locations – Havanská 10 (Letná) and Březinova 29 (Karlín), Prague. Pick your preferred spot when booking.

NOTE: You will also need to purchase or bring your own fabrics. More information will be provided in due time.
